In under 3 months I will be turning 30. I have no real plans for the day other than to enjoy quantities of alcohol with various reprobates that i've met over the past few years of my life.

However I keep getting told that i must "do something big" and i'm guessing these people arent referring to Mrs Stan.

So i'm interested, what have other people done for their 30th Birthday?

I installed the first ever electric lighting in my then house, a 400 year old French farm house about an hour's drive from where Magooagain now lives.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Cant do that, my dad died a few years ago after going into hospital with a 'bad back'.

I spent £30k on my 30th year mate - but that was mostly on my wedding rolleyes

So, I reckon you should make some plans that will warrant better use of funds! Ok, maybe not £30k as that will exclude some smile

How about drop the k, and make it nearer £30?!

My next biggun will be sixty; the staff at my local are probably older than me, so this is not on the agenda (might appeal to Wayne Rooney) crazy

It's only a number, guys... and curiously, the bigger the number is, the more of 'only a number' it is!

Did a big casino night and a Monopoly pub crawl for my 30th, separate dates of course.

See my sig for what happened on my 40th as well as a more sedate party.

Great thread, just getting to terms with turning 30 at the end of March, and that was gladly helped by the missus booking me a surprise trip to Amsterdam. Oh and the fact I have booked a 4dayer to Ibiza for me and friends who all turned 30 this year.... None of us have ever been so it is probably the last year we can do it in style and get away with it!

Hey, it did mean I had a massive party with all my friends and family in one place and had a free bar (lets ignore the fact it was my card behind the bar)

I turned 30 last October, 2 other mates turned 30 on the same weekend too.
Other than that i can't remember anything of that night. Must have been a good 'un'.

Parachutes are to be used when the engines have fallen off and one wing is on fire. Voluntarily stepping from a working aeroplane is not the behaviour of a sane person.
