HIDs because you can't drive safely at night without them.
And deep pockets are pretty much a must have.

Another vote for the Flea map here - should've had it done on my first Coupé and on my second one as soon as I bought it, not 3 years down the line. Best £175 I've ever spent on a car, period.

I'm starting to think that keeping it original is the ultimate mod. The only not quite OEM bits on mine are the seats, which are OEM but retrimmed, and the stereo.

Yes, I'm the new alanw.

It depends what aspect of the Coupe you're looking to mod

Handling - the mod that made the most difference to my handling was the rear uprated ARB - it vastly reduced understeer

Performance - simple bleed valve, set to 1.2 bar made the biggest leap (from standard to about 250-ish bhp, I guess). However, I'd have to say that a Flea-map is probably the best money you can spend on any Coupe, regardless of its state of tune. It tends to pay for itself pretty quickly with better mpg that you can hope to get from a generic chip.

My wife, the best must-have Coupe mod ever.

Tells you when your are going to fast.
Tells you when a slow corner is coming up.
Tells you when the car sounds too loud.
Tells you when its cold and then turns the heating up full.
Tells you when...
Tells you when...
Tells you when...
Tells you when...
Tells you when...
Tells you when...
Tells you when...
Tells you when...

She does look good in it thou.

If those were run out adornments, it's a shame they didn't start running the Coupe out in 1996..the skirts stop the Coupe looking like a frog riding on a skateboard.

6 speed gearbox. Nothing else to say on the matter.

rofl
6 speeds would be nice.

People have been down the plastic road before...

Actually the carpet extensions are an excellent mod for inside the car thumb Hens' teeth might be easier to source though...

God I'm going to get grief for this Q but be gentle, as barnical says " I'm new!" Lol

Is their carpet extensions avaliable? If not I'm seriously going to make so to hide all the wires ect, I'm an engineer by trade so be piece cake to knock some up.

Iv also been toying with the idea of a alu gear suround like you get on supercars, like the GT40 wheir the plate of alu has slots cut out for each gear, , love the sound of the clunk when changing gear plus it would look sublime in the coupe

Strut Brace, omp pads (no squeal and good braking), Gtec chip, fully synth oil.

Vaseline or silicon on door seals.

Mechanical empathy and a sense of realism for an aging GT.

Gtec chip.. Yes good smile but I'd say, due to this topic being a 'must have' mod I'd say a custom flea map over a generic chip wink

Oh & for turbo models a boost gauge - I think all turbocharged cars should have one standard period, it's such a valuable piece of info

Yes they are available and should have been standard. They hide the "yellow wire" you see on entry to the vehicle. As I said, great mod laugh
