That red top C20XE is a real peach. Noticeable change in power when the second cam comes in. Come to think of it a lot of late 80's/ early 90's had that V-Tec like hike. That was when 16 valves was something to boast about!

I would love that mk2, I'm a massive fan of the Mk2 GTE 16v. It was the model I aspired to own when I had my first car, a Nova 1.3 SR. Sadly I've neve owned one. there can't be that many of them left, the vast majority will have gone from rust / been broken for their engine.

Sadly, I never got to own the 16v version, although did drive one

Both my Mk2's were the (better) 8v version and my Mk1 had the 1.8 version, although I think the Mk 1's only came with the 1.8 engine anyway.
