So here it is My bodyshop guy who resprayed my car his son loves the coupe and has always wanted one .

He offered me £1800 for my 16vt knowing how much money and effort has gone in to her and knowing he would get a good example rather than paying peanuts and getting rubbish you know how it is.

I was very tempted knowing the value of these at the moment frown but i said no i dont think i would sell her for 2k to be honest .

So the question is would any of you guys 16v/16vt/20v/20vt/Vis/plus/le ect sell yours for approx 1k above the market value ? i am one who has to say no any one else?

Seems a bit pointless to let mine go, too. What else would I keep the sparrows off the drive with?

Correct,
The good coupes are rising in value and i expect as the majority of the market will see poor examples they will continue to rise.
I have seen customers who have paid circa 7K for a mint coupe and thats not for a low ,mileage one either.

And me, I had a 10 year gap between my first and second Coupé and during those ten years I was looking for something like the Coupé….and there isn't.

Horsing around's a serious business.

Nope. There is nothing in the price range of my car I would want to replace it with.

For £1k extra, not worth it. But if someone wants to make me a daft offer, I can always bide my time and find another.

1. Think of something witty and urbane
2. Imagine it written here

There's nothing else available in the same price range (and the next couple of price brackets upwards, for that matter) that looks and performs as well as the Coop.

If someone made me a crazy offer that would enable me to buy one of my dream/always lusted after cars (looking at the £10k+ bracket) then I would. But no one will. So I won't.

Nope, not for sale....after trying a Vis and a 5 pot turbo, I've gone back to my original 16v I've learned my lesson and this is staying with me.

I replaced mine at the end of last year, but still have it so at market price the answer is obviously no. If I was offered £1k over possibly, £2k over and the answer might be yes, but as that is unlikely I am intending to keep it and enjoy some track days and hillclimbs.

In the coupe.
Money cannot buy the fun i/we have had being part of this club and being at the great coupe meets and track day/weekends ! So owning my coupe is priceless to be honest.

I understand this may be different for others that rely on the coupe as a daily car. But for me the way forward to enjoying this car is weekend / fun use.

Based on the fact the coupe is worth feck all ! Why would i sell it? You cannot buy another car in this world for beer money that gives so much emotional pleasure !
