Fill your boots with qualifying and podium predictions for this weekend!

For me it's too much of a lottery, not just because of the topsy-turvy results we've seen so far but also because it is the snooze-fest also known as Monaco zzz

Yes, I know the scenery is stunning, as are the crashes, but I'm firmly in the camp that says it is an out-dated circuit and would have been dropped years ago were it not for the money oozing from the principality rolleyes

Having said that, I'll still be keeping an eye on it, just for any bikini malfunctions.... laugh

I detest Monaco. Crap circuit which compromises the race. Nothing to be said in it's favour.

Just a heads-up on this; because it is Monaco the free practice sessions are held on Thursdays (today), times as follows....

Practice 1 09:00 - 10:30
Practice 2 13:00 - 14:30

Saturday's schedule is as follows....

Practice 3 10:00 - 11:00
Qualifying 13:00

Race starts at 1300 on Sunday.

I like Monaco but only because it's a good spectacle not because the racing is good (if that makes sense) - love seeing the cars darting about the circuit. It's probably a hangover from when all races were dull and Mbaco was just more interesting to look at.

There was overtaking last year which made it more entertaining. Didn't someone (Lewis?) pass Massa coming out of the tunnel, causing Massa to clip the barrier?

I reckon

Quali
1st - Lewis
2nd - Jensen
3rd - Kimi

Race
1st - Lewis
2nd - Vettel
3rd - Senna (here's hoping for my FF1 team!)

Did anyone else notice the flo-viz paint on the front wing of Seb's Red Bull early on in FP1, but only on the trailing edges of certain parts of it? 'Super-DRS' as per Mercedes now fitted on the Red Bull too perhaps?

Tough to call Quali & the race at this stage, but I'll plump for Alonso to take the race.

Oh unlucky for Michael hey pole position only for that pesky 5 place penalty frown

(maybe that will teach him to try and change CD tracks whilst approaching a corner)

I wonder what Massa's up to?
If he puts a move on Alonso he won't be thanked for it, and he's destroying his tyres.

Well you have to give it to the commentators. they kept the possibility that somebody might overtake on track alive right until the end.
Good to see Webber win, but a total waste of an afternoon.

78 today. Some bloke waved a chequered flag to let the drivers know when the parade was over. zzz

You must have been *really, really* bored John shocked tongue

You lot though, not an ounce of romantic blood in your bones! I wish the rain had come to liven things up but I really enjoyed the afternooon anyway. I love Monaco. Love seeing the cars go round inches from the barriers, entering and exiting the tunnel negotiatng the chicane. Thrilling stuff. Then there's the town itself, the buildings, the girls, princess Charline love

It's well cool cool

And yet it's "coolness" doesn't prevent it from being a snoozefest. The worst race on the calendar in my opinion.

From your criteria c2d, perhaps it's "Wish You Were Here" you should be watching? smile

I got bored, woke up and went to Wickes to buy some plastic downpipe.

Much more interesting, although I could have watched this morning's paint dry.

I was watching on Sky pause live so was about 20mins behind the race. It was so tedious I stopped and went live. A 10 lap jump with no change in positions.

Rain threatened to liven things up, sadly that failed to materialise. Even the McLaren pit crews failed to entertain smile
