Last night whilst out in Birmingham I had my mobile phone stolen. I was in a club and had quite a lot to drink although I wasn't legless and would have noticed/heard my phone drop to the floor as it's a hefty iPhone 4S. I'm usually really hot on constantly checking my pockets as I get paranoid and it must have happened within seconds. One moment there, next gone! I feel so angry at myself for letting it happen yet I cant remember anyone even being close enough to do it. I didn't even meet/talk to anyone new. Worst thing is, my new phone isn't covered under my bank mobile insurance as I havent re-registered it and isn't covered under my home insurance personal items (which I find hard to believe and should know better... I WORK in insurance) I'm guessing there's no point even bothering contacting the police for a crime ref now? I feel completely lost without my phone I had everything on it!

Contact your mobile phone operator. They can lock it and also receive a tracking signal when the person tries to get it be-barred.

I dont have find my iPhone set up as I dont like people to know where I am (not that I do anything wrong) I had shorts on with zips and I'm 99% sure I had done the zip up although if it had fallen on the floor which was wooden pretty sure i'd have heard it. Turns out I'm not insured for it and its not covered under my home insurance for personal items. Its excluded!! Pretty annoyed as I've just shelled out for a Samsung Galaxy yet I have 18 months left on my iPhone Hopefully I can upgrade come iPhone 5 (if it ever arrives)

I dont have find my iPhone set up as I dont like people to know where I am (not that I do anything wrong) I thought the whole point is only you can access it unless you give permission for others to see your location?

Yes, I did the normal phone my phone, someone picked up but said nothing and background noise wasn't the same to where we were. Also apparently a lot of phones got stolen that night so they must've been out in force. I rang my provider and blocked it there and then. Turns out it's excluded from my home insurance and not covered under my bank insurance as i've not had the phone long and haven't updated it yet. iPhone 4S down the drain pretty much So, I have to buy an android phone which I hate with a passion although it's the cheapest yet closet to an iPhone I can get/afford. I cant even work out how to get the internet working ?!?! I miss my iPhone desperatly and to say the least i'm absolutly gutted
