Here is my 1st attempt at painting my centre console, do i leave as is or do i spray the lower part around the handbrake and ashtray or not??

they should have come colour coded from factory, i like that

perhaps photoshop around the ashtray only? see what it looks like? but as for the handbrake id leave all the centre console alone.

ha ha, i aint gotta clue abt how to photoshop anything lol, i can barely use the kids paint program lol. either way, i was thinking of taliking that horrible rubber gunk off.

I think the ash tray front and surround should be sprayed as well just to make it look like its a factory finish .

Looks good! What's happened to the pininfarina badge? It looks pissed!

Dashboard strip screw behind the badge, so you just bend it up to get access.

i did my ash tray front and surround and it look alot better imo .

hmmmm, all your opinions count and thanks, if you can visulize it, how about the ashtray surround in red, and the front in matt black, i was thinking of painting the lower handbrake surround in matt black as it needs painting.

yea thats right, i found it easier to get the console out with the dash strip lifted, only a 30 second job to do lol.

looking good, personally, I'll leave it like that.

I would continue down to the ashtray too to tie it all in, then fit some alloy rings to complete the look.

I did all of my centre console on my sprintie, it looks half finished otherwise methinks

yea ok, half finished is a fair point, but where do you stop and class it as finished lol???

including the ashtray does finishes the job off and still looks 'factory' in my opinion, although the task of taking the lower section out to do so, is a ball ache.

yeah it does look good all painted now ive seen it

so its a toss up between the ashtray cover painted red or black?? the surround will be red and the handbrake surround will be black (matt or gloss)???

This is mine , I prefer the bottom half done the same colour, plus left the little grill black,

plus if you have some paint left...

well you do have a variaty of colours in your car lol, could you post a pic on here with the ashtray closed as thats what im debating ?

my opinion is to leave it well alone unless something goes wrong, however looking at some of the pics in this thread it does look awesome painted right down to include the ashtray cover.
