Totally agree with 3 points and 60 quid fine. Can see why you may wriggle a bit if you thought there was a way out of a worse speeding offence however. (Not excusing such offences however)

I got stopped the other day too, just been down to the court to pay the fine.
Could I have argued a case and got off? Yes probably on a number of counts. Was I actually speeding though? Yes. Ergo, accept punishment, pay fine, move on. Much less hassle.

Spot the man who probably still hasn't got more than 6 points on his licence..says the man with none currently.. I'd be interested to see how many "man up" posters would not fight if a ban was going to result from the totting up process. After all, do the crime, do the time...

Bingo!! I took the first 9 points without issue, but HAD to try and FIGHT the last one. Avoided getting anything for the last one, so avoided losing my license. Now have no points at all. Ross

Got done for speeding last week.
I have just filled in the form. Any circumstances in your favour? "Nope." Do you admit doing it? "Yes." Do you accept the normal fine? "Yes." Anything else you want to add? "No."
See? That's how hard it is. Fined? Take it like a man. Does Belguim have a points system Klass?

No. We just pay hefty fines and get banned for a week or longer. In this particular case I actually don't know what will happen as I was over the limit for the 'fixed fines' by 2,3 km/h (1,5 mph). The limit in this case would cost me 175 euro. Normally it will go to court and they will make a decision. If they take away my license for a week or longer, so be it, I'll have to use my bike. If they fine me more than the 175, so be it, I'll try and compensate for the family. In Belgium when you go before court you also have to pay an amount on top of the fine that goes into the funds system for traffic victims, which is probably another 150 euro.
Still, I'm just waiting for the outcome, I'm cool with whatever they decide.

Klaas what you need is to get the car registered in Britain but drive it there. We have been flashed by every camera from France to Belgium for the last few years without any fines. And by we i mean Proccy Theresa and Mattm for any law abiding citizens watching.
