I currently have a squadra chip fitted to my 20VT - is the Gtech 2 similar?

Who else is running a squadra chip?

Gtech2 is based on the squadra.

Erm, nope, the Gtec2 uses nothing from the Squadra chip at all. The Gtec1 chip is based on a Novitec, as is the Squadra.

As far as I have been told the Squadra seems to be a little more advanced with ignition advance, raising rev limiter etc, which Gtech1 doesn't have.

Would I see any benefit from changing the squadra for a Gtech2?

Ah okay, from 10 years ago when you got your hands on a Squadra I seemed to remember what I posted, thanks for the correction.

I thought the gtec2 used a similar ignition map to the squadra?

Nope. The Squadra actually has a little more advance in places even.

The only useful thing I "borrowed" from the Squadra was the raised rev limit and I didn't even use that on the standard Gtec2.

Salmaan, if you PM me your address I'd be happy to send you a Gtec2 to test and you can see for yourself how they compare.
