Seriously sporting Marmite, but baseball is my Bovril!

Love the action, love the stats, love the idiot fans and love my nights watching on MLBtv until the small hours. I spent 3 months in New York in 1990 and had access to a corporate ticket to Yankee Stadium. I used it as much as I could, and I am now well hooked. A Yankee fan and hate the Red Sox.....

I used to kind of follow the Blue Jays when I used to sit up until the small hours watching sport on Channel 5 lol.

I went to watch a Red Sox game a few years ago and I couldn't disagree more, there is no action, just overweight over paid men in tight pants playing rounders.
The only potential excitement I could see from the game was the possibility of one of the players (and I use the word loosely) actually connecting his bat to the ball and having to run, the risk of heart attack from the over weight player made me watch on.

I did however love the fact that you didn't have to leave your seat to buy beer.

Sport is get stuck in and get the job done casualties or not.

As a passionate cricket fan, I'm not going to call Baseball for being slow or obscure, but I genuinely don't get it, despite being subjected to it for months whilst sharing a house in Montreal. On the other hand, Ice Hockey... now THAT's a decent North American sport! I still wear my Patrick Roy top from his Rookie season when the Habs won the Stanley Cup!

Basketball is ridiculous. Any sport that has to employ giant freaks and where the winning team is the one that has time to run up the pitch once more than their opponents is clearly barking. Fact.

Basketball? I watched a final with a friend in NYC some years ago, from the comfort of a bar. We got in seven or eight rounds of pool, many beers, and eats... and they were still blowing the whistle after half-a-second's play.

Utterly pointless.
