Now that most of the big jobs are done or very close, I've been thinking of where to put a 52mm boost gauge. I've had Nomad Pillar Pods previously and have actually put one away somewhere safe and can't remember where! crazy

Anyway, I'm thinking of relocating the Plus starter button to the side of the gear lever on the centre console. This will then give me an opportunity to mount the boost gauge where the starter button was originally (albeit with a larger hole).

Finally, wondering how difficult it would be to change the "style" of starter button to something more "modern"?

Don't know if anyone's done any of the above previously but all opinions / ideas welcome guys and girls. cool

I have my gauge where you are wanting to place yours which I think is a good place. Works well, pillar pods restricts vision.
What kind of 'modern' button you looking for or what do you think is wrong with the plus one ? Don't think you going to find much better.

The starter button from the Honda S2000 looks nice.
Got mine from eBay many years ago but I think they are still available.

Agreed, that looks good to me too, much better than the LE button which is pretty "micky mouse"

I don't think there's anything wrong with the standard button and it's worked faultlessly for the past 5+ years of my ownership. I just wondered if there was an improvement to be made, especially if I'm looking to move it.

I was thinking of something like this;

I have the red version of that button mounted under the boost gauge in the dash.
The pic with it by the gear lever looks ok too!

What is needed is a start/stop button. Now that would be cool.

Yeah probably would - i do quite like the current Plus button but wished they'd engraved it or something as it is a bit plain

Quick question for the techies / sparks out there;

Any ideas how difficult it'll be to integrate an aftermarket starter button into the OE wiring loom?

I think its more of a case of connecting it to the ignition barrel

I also think that you could use one the the stainless buttons like this and engrave the FCCUK logo onto it laugh
