Forum knowledge request: what's a reasonable price for a manual sectional garage door, fitted into a brick surround? The interwebs are long on pretty pictures and call us for a quote and short on prices, which leads the cynic in me to suspect it's an invitation for a hard sell and 'why don't we quote for the doors and windows too, sir?'...

Sorry, no it doesn't, but I think this site will give you prices.

Thanks guys, still sniffing around. It's not urgent until the bathroom's finished anyway, seeing as the bathroom bits are all that's in the garage at present!

I had several quotes last year Neil as my wooden garage doors are rotting away at the bottom (not a que for a gay related joke Marco) they varied from £500 to £900 depending on the quality and type of metal and finish you are looking for, composite doors were at the top end of the price with tin doors at the lower end.
I also went for a wooden look to keep it in with a 200 year old house.

Just looked at the invoice and ours was from Arridge Doors and was less than £400. It is a Henderson Merlin.
