So my discs are on the way out and I am looking for options for a 305mm setup.
DBA 4000 are no more, compbrake 2 piece are not recommended, I have found a 2 piece brembo setup that should fit but costs £500 and I am not totally convinced.

seems to leave the DBA 2000's unless Joe comes up with that 2 piece option he talked about (any news joe?)

any other options?

I doubt very much he's "driving miss daisy" if he wants the ultimate brake set up Marco smile

Enjoying Coop ownership, second time round . Also enjoying RWD action in a thundering V8 E90 M3.

Have you looked at k-sport or D2 brakes. I reckon you could pick up some 304mm discs and bells for maybe £400. Then a little adaption of mounts to position the brembos in the right place.

I actually have my D2 calipers in bits at the moment, but the discs aren't standard size (slightly worn) so wouldn't help much with the measurements. If I get time I will pop one onto a hub and see how the brembo sits.

NB: D2/K-sport bells can accomodate lots of different disc patterns like AP etc..

Chris

imagine miss daisy flat out on track.......

I asked k-sport, but I cant quite remember the response, it was either you cant buy the discs without callipers or they make the discs so expensive there not worth buying without the callipers?

Why do you need to stick with 305mm? Is it driven by wanting to use the standard alloys?

No, it's driven by not wanting to splash out a fortune on new calipers

A 305mm disc is fine as long as decent discs and pads are used. I can squeal my tyres from almost any speed - why would I need anything bigger?

I too would be very interested in a two-piece disc that's a simple bolt-on solution. My DBA4000s are nearing the end of their useful life and I'll need to find a replacement soon-ish

Do not use cu*t brake as there useless and use all
Kinds of cheap Substandard rubbish.
I have tried various setups and It's more the pad choice than the expensive discs.
I Run £350 custom race spec pads with ebc discs.
Brilliant, the only thing that would stop You quicker is a tree.

Its a combination of wanting to keep std wheels, unsprung weight and cost. as Nigel and Johnny have said the std size disc is fine as long as they don't warp.
I have sent godspeed brakes an email as he seems to be well received and active on the mitsubishi forum, but notorious for not replying to emails......guess what? he has not replied! which kinda puts me off a little.

What are these special tree stopping pads you speak off Jonnny?

I have found a 305mm x28 2 piece floating brembo disc for the arbarth 500, which as far as I can tell will bolt straight on? people have used our discs to create a big brake upgrade for the fiat, so I believe there are the same offset, pcd etc.
They are drilled discs though not slotted, but they should be good judging brembo's reputation, but I am not 100% convinced on fit and quality....£500 is a lot of monies!
