Oh dear, 13 out of 22. Would be nice to see an explanation of my wrong answers so that I could learn the correct grammar.

15 although it would have been slightly better if I'd concentrated and not rushed it. It certainly wouldn't have been as high as 22 though.

/me shudders at the thought that I may be less than perfect!

Up yours Photobucket.

Mine was 22 although in one instance I thought either could have been correct.

Vaguely amusing, but I would not take an American spelling test very seriously tongue

It was US grammar and word choice, and had some (a couple) which are different in UK and US usage.

1) its - the company is a single entity
2) children's - children are already plural
3) managers' - there is more than one manager
4) its - the side belongs to the table
5) delivers - team is singular
6) buildings' - all three of them
7) affects - the verb
8) effect - noun
9) effect - noun
10) me - remove all the spare words and it's clearly 'told me to'
11) I - same logic/process
12) me - same again
13) principal - first
14) principle - she had them!
15) principal - US headmaster
16) that - though in the UK, usually 'which'
17) that - same again
18) which - same usage in UK
19) their - belonging to them
20) they're - they are...
21) among - between two, among(st) more than two
22) fewer - it's a countable quantity.

20/22, caught out by the pesky Americanisms on that/which. Explains why I always seem to trip Microsoft up with my use of 'which', and it's always begging me for a comma in front when one doesn't belong.

SpeakeyD made an apple pie, which is nice.

In my recent experience, the article should be titled 'This embarrasses yourself and myself'. Cos that's how to sound professional, innit?
