I've been looking around for a second/future family car for some months now and decided to go for something cheap after our Leon FR got nicked last summer. I decided on a 156 2.4 diesel but there are very few decent ones about. By pure chance my usual Alfa specialist found a decent high miler (140k) with full (and I mean full) service history. He blanked off the EGR and re-mapped it and I picked it up yesterday. A lot of car for £2500! It also had a new clutch, discs and driveshaft (common weakness) earlier this year.

Having owned my GTV for 6 years I have no illusions about running an old Alfa but even if it blows up I won't have lost much. It also looks fantastic and is bl@@dy quick. 200bhp, shed loads of torque and 48mpg!

Nice one Jim but I think your number plate might be illegal.... laugh

Looks great for the price!

Oh, and at 140k miles it's just a baby! Mrs Stan's Leon TDi is at 270k miles.......
