I got a quote via Confused.com for the Mundano on 10th June, I went on today to take out the cover to find the price had increased by over 70%!!!

Now when I got the initial quote it said it was valid for 14 days (could have even been longer) but the insurance company in question are saying that Confused only give a "quick Quote" and that there is nothing they or I can do about it.

Now I wouldn't mind 10% here or there but 70% is taking the p***

Call the next cheapiest quote?

Yeah, a local branch of a national chain had the reputation of signing people up with cheap quotes only to tell them they had misquoted, after issuing the policy and it would be another xx pounds please just disregard the con men and go to the next lowest

or try the usual Noel Dazeley, Green light, Elephant that get mentioned on here

i had the same with another online insurer, got quoted 450 quid a few years back and did not have tohe common sense to snap their hand off there and then! i was told the same as you, and there was no way they would budge

alas ALL the quotes went up by a similar %

hmmm very strange....

I've always found Confused to be crap and that the quotes can change by quite a lot if you actually go through each company's individual quote system.

There really is no substitute for going round and doing it all yourself.
