Was working under the Coop earlier when i heard a loud bang, followed by the lovely sound of metal on tarmac. Scrambled out with all the grace of a three legged, pregnant elk, to see this... They overtook a Fiesta ST a couple of hundred yards up the road & didn't slow down quite enough for the bend. So, a moments silence please for my garden wall which has once again been demolished by an overconfident numpty... And after only recently being rebuilt from this happening in February... On the plus side, the Coop was once again untouched by flying debris.

Crumbs Jim, what is in the water up there? Oh of course, a nice malt! Are your walls magnetic? Looks like a gorgeous part of the country,

I remember this wall saga Doesn't this continuous assault qualify for blackspot status Jim? More paint/signs, cough..traffic management, you know. An expert on traffic and the law on here [cough again] might have views on that. Who rebuilds the wall btw? And to echo a few, ye cannae whack the view this side of the border, eh?

"Alas poor Wall-ick, I knew him, Horatio"? That must be very frustrating, sorry for your aggravation.

Thanks folks, it is indeed a beautiful place to live. Would just be nice if the spontaneous visitors used the existing driveway when they wish to park and admire the scenery. I remember this wall saga Doesn't this continuous assault qualify for blackspot status Jim? More paint/signs, cough..traffic management, you know. An expert on traffic and the law on here [cough again] might have views on that. Who rebuilds the wall btw? Maybe a white wall with black arrows may help in the future? It's not that the bend is by any means unmarked... ...and there is a crash barrier around my front garden on the apex of the bend, but we have been refused permission for one at the side garden as the position of the driveway opening would apparently mean a dangerous end on the barrier. The wall is rebuilt by whoever the insurance company contracts if we're lucky enough to get a copy of the vehicles registration, or myself if we aren't. This time i have their front bumper, including registration plate held hostage in my shed.

We're moving house. Looks like he wanted to move in with you! Did you get his registration number?

I got his registration number, name, DOB and inside leg measurement. After that he may have one leg shorter than the other so you may still be able to fit him in the coffin. Sounds like the council could be trying harder to find a solution to this continual wall-oping.

Gutted for you What's this now, third time in a year? That's 8 times in the last 12 months, by my count. The cars usually get damaged more than the wall, it's vans and buses that do the real damage. Very good.

You could try making a wooden box and painting it yellow and stick it on a post just before the corner so approaching vehicles think its a camera so making them slow down

Good luck with the sale. Make sure you get the wall fixed for the photos and fingers crossed you don't get any 'unexpected' viewings.
