Afternoon all ive been looking at these for alittle while and thinking of fitting one just wondering what other people think.

Pro's and Con's please

obviously it will make sure the oil is cleaner due to filtering down to 30 micro's or so most say unlike the normal engine oil filter that is said to filter to 100 microns roughly and if your bottom end goes it may save having a turbo rebuild aswell

anyway il see what every body thinks before i decide

Most vary somewhat in what they will actually flow.
For instance these engines run stipidly high oil pressure on idle with most manufacturers using less than half a bar due to no load on static idle.
You have to work out the maximum and the minimum flow rate both at peak pressure i.e7 bar and at what rpm.
Also it must also filter at 0.8 bar or whatever your base value is when the engines hot.
Small particles are not harmful for the turbo, but may cause blockage of the restrictor.
If theres any bigger particles then the turbo will be the least of your worries.
Personally i dont know anyone who runs these for the above facts.
