Sounds like there could be more to come out, what with the police finding "Swedish & Iraqi passports". Although there are plenty of plausible explanations for that, of course. Awful story.

It really is a mystery. If it was a movie, I'd be puffing out my cheeks, going "Well, that's just so unrealistic..." The poor brother (assuming he isn't involved) must be feeling wretched.
