I spent 10 mins on it today and I especially liked the Mario Bros bit amongst others!

Yesterday's XKCD totally killed productivity in our office.

Some fun finds:

Both the x-wing fighters
The whale and the petunia
Walls worn smooth by falling Mario corpses
Girl surfing on a 747

Dear monos, a secret truth.

But has anyone got to the end, yet? I expected that keeping panning left would eventually get me back where I started, then got distracted by the various tunnels and forgot where I was.

And I can't see how to grab the image as a whole, either.

Some people with impressive browser skills patched together some complete drawings, but the scale was too small to be useful (one of them reckoned that if you printed it out, with each figure being 1cm high, it would take a piece of paper 140m x 70m)

The easiest navigation I've found is here - scroll to about half-way down the page to find ground-level of the left-hand side of the image, and you can zoom in and out using your browser.

Randall would be on my 'ultimate dinner party' invite list.

Some clever chap has created a zoom-able map of the whole thing here - clickety click

I was exploring for 30 minutes and I hadn't even been underground.

Aha! I *had* covered most of it, but missed the Saturn V and some of the aeroplanes.

Have you also been reading his 'what if' addendum? I rather liked the discovery that fuel consumption is measured in square meters...

Yes, but only recently.

To be honest I'm not nearly well read enough on maths or science and probably only get around half of the jokes in his comics.

I still tune in 3 times a week though. It's one of my favourite and most used apps.
