I can aquire the below shown new intercooler free of charge smile it's from a new Transit diesel & just has a couple of bent fins.

My question is basically, with suitable pipework made up obviously, would it be suitable for a 20VT coupe?, to upgrade from a standard SMIC? or maybe even suitable for a stage 2 hybrid / other supporting mods & map etc

it fits no problem, bags of space, the dimensions of the actual cooler section are as follows:

Length: 560mm
Height: 80mm
Depth: 60mm

the diameter of the inlet/outlet pipes is 2"

any good? too small? etc etc

I thought I'd ask on here, as I need to obtain permission from the customer & waste of time doing that if it's not worth it.

You don't want any plastic and if I'm right 2" in/out is smaller than standard which from memory is 2.25". Why not follow the crowd and go for an Evo FMIC?

money is the reason wink lol

this is free, hence the ask

so it wouldn't be any significant gain over a standard SMIC

I won't bother then

why is plastic the issue anyway?

Ok, but I won't be running big power? - just 280bhp max & i thought that, with a SIP would be an improvement on the standard smic/induction pipe set-up?.

but if 2" is too small, waste of time anyway.

Shame as I can get a brand new one free
