Just thinking what's the cheapest way of killing some exhaust niose for track days and a few recommended exhaust bungs. Do they affect performance or can they cause any back pressure? Basically, are they any good and how many dbs can they kill?

I have an android app called decibel that's quite accurate, or if you have one of those other phones look for dB Volume Meter.

Don't have an Android phone just a BB and some rubbish Nokia which is on Symbian (I think). You reckon I can rely on noise level measured by a phone?

I borrowed a sound metre off a chap local to me to test a customers exhaust for track and my phone was +2db so that's pretty good as a guide

I reduced the tailpipe only to 3" and used an outward rolled exit.

From 108db to 85 now.

Actually, I had no problems at all - registereted 86db at Snetterton yesterday. I used UE SPL app which is free and it was very accurate and it showed 87db. Good stuff.
