I think my coupé may want to go to that big breakers in the sky.

So after a rebuild that's spanned a year my coupé was finally booked for a MOT. Half way up my road plumes of blue smoke. To be expected as I haven't driven her since the work. I push on and sure enough it clears. A few minutes later a metallic clattering followed by a thud. The exhaust has fallen off and the rubber hanger for the back box has fallen apart. Okay, I can fix that I thought. A route through the box of tricks finds me a hefty ex aviation jubilee clip. So exhaust back on.

Other than the alarm flashing randomly the car flew through the test.

I start the car to drive home and the injector light pops on. I'm on four cylinders now. I get home and star trek confirms o/c on number 2 injector.

So I fix that with a spare and the car runs nicely again cool .

What a day. Totally the last thing I needed today.

It does feel amazing. I'd forgotten how quick the car feels. Very smooth and comfortable

@ Marco, I hope that was all it had. I can't deal with more laugh

She's just giving you the finger for neglecting her (like any glamorous lady). A squirt of WD40, a touch of 10/60, a rub-down with Carnauba and she will soon appreciate you again love

... or else you will be spitten out like the rest of us suicide

Good luck!

Mine likes going to the garage (probably something to do with men in overalls!) This year it went for MOT needing; wheels/tyres, brake pipes, clutch, gearbox, water leak etc
it came away with Mot, wheels/tyres and brake pipes but still needing the above and developed an intermittent misfire on way home and now is sounding like the exhaust is blowing/loose!
I even found that it develops a problem when my other car goes wrong, both were off the road for some months with engine failure within 48hrs of each other earlier in the year, both had wishbone failure in the same week in August.
I don't know if it's a fight or some deep seated psychological condition, is it Maunchassen Syndrome?
Anyway like it's owners it needs counselling.

Glad it's back on the road now, even with a small fight, it's worth it laugh
