No - not another oil question
This one a brake fluid question.
I've used Castrol SRF for the last couple of years, and have been happy with it's performance.
Now, just looking to order some more oils from oilman, and have seen the Gulf Competition RF1000 brake fluid. Costwise, it comes in at less than half that of the Castrol SRF, and it would appear (from the tech specs) that it has a slightly higher boiling point (325 v 320 degrees), although the wet boiling point is significantly less (205 v 270).
So, before I take a plump at some - can anyone who's used it offer any opinions?
Tech spec comparisons: Gulf RF1000 - Castrol SRF
Viscosity at -40 °C 1700 - 1300
Viscosity at 100°C 2.6 - 3.5
ERBP (Dry Boiling Point) 325 - 320
Wet Equilibrium Reflux Boiling Point 205 - 270
