I am not sure if the two are connected, but I hear that powder coating can cause cracks in the wheels, due to the heating process, maybe someone can confirm confused

There is a place in Mansfield a friend used a few weeks ago, they made a very good job of repainting his wheels. I will ask him who he used tomorrow...

Powder coating does not cause wheels to crack, I've had powder coated wheels on different cars for 20 years without any cracking.
Spit and Polish will arrange wheel collection nationwide and the finish is as new.

They can be a little hit and miss sometimes, but I've found if the rims are straight with little damage casued by kirbing they do a good job generally.

City powder coaters, used them before and they did a good job, saying that though they didn't give me any reason to use them again!

I've also used city powder coaters and the wheels came back looking very good. At £20 a wheel they're a bargain, and worth a punt.

Hi,
I did some internet research and came across A1 wheels on the Bilston Rd.
Spoken on the internet as one of the best in the country.
They don't do resprays just full chemical strip and re finnish.
They refurbished my 20x10 Kahns I had brought for my VW T5.
I wanted them in the original "Power silver" and boy did they make a good job.
Just don't be put off by the building which is an old house.
You can see how good they are by the amount of traffic coming and going.
Just don't ask for a reciept !!!!

Yes well..... the kahns weren't cheap to refurb due to there size. rolleyes
A normal finish was £100 per wheel but it was extra for the "power silver".
I would imagine coupe wheels would be quite a bit less than this though.
Worth a call I think.

I then had to buy four 275x40x20 shocked so the coupes budget has now been well and truly blown.

Unsure exactly now. It was a dark gunmetal, they had two shades.

Car isn't as clean anymore, had to remove the body kit after catching it on various speed bumps near me. Still got her but up for sale soon..

Had no issues with the wheels done there at all. Still look good without issues

If you can travel further (M6, A14), then Wheel Genie in Huntingdon.

I have used them for 2 sets of Alfa wheels, including a set of 155 Sportspack Speedlines. They did an awesome complete refurb on those for 300 quid (I had the tyres off for them).
