The need for better reverse lights are put into the spot light wink
I just put one of these in and it's definatly better at least a 1/3 brighter. Those CREE LED's are SUPER bright. I know it seems expensive, but how much is a scrape or a bump to repair???
Don't worry about the colour, mine was finished in bright silver, much nicer an less obvious in the reflector. And to top it all off one of the easiest mods available. smile

Is the one in the link the exact one you bought Pondman? The reason I ask is that I dont know what the coop fitment is?

Thanks, Angelo.

Are reversing lights the only LED lights you can get?

I'm constantly changing sidelight bulbs / numberplate bulbs.

I have changed every bulb apart from fogs to LEDs, the only ones that are not quite as good are the brake lights.

There are plenty of led options available skinflint, especially on ebay, just beware of some of the cheaper options. I have tried these, and they just don't seem to last. They don't even last as long as a standard filament unit!

No, but often, the filament type are brighter due to the reflective lens design. Chose alternative bulbs carefully, as quite often cheap is not good wink generally SMD & CREE led's are the brightest.

Might be something for my Punto, but as you say the brakes still need decent std 21W bulbs..

Just a further idea for those who feeling like a bit of a challenge..........
Eagle eye 9w LED lights these little wonders have a multitude of uses, rear bumper reverse lights, headlining lights, puddle lamps in the mirror or under door, even footwell lamps. With their wide angle lens they should spread the light well. Other suppliers do them in an aluminium colour.
I've ordered 2 pairs for the Forester as the internal lighting is dire and I'd like some puddle lamps & 1 pair for the Coupe.
Only your imagination and supply of scotch blocks are your limits wink

I've had a pair of them in my eBay watched list for 6 months or more I was thinking of illuminating the engine bay or as additional side lights. I'll be interested to see them fitted Pondman. thumb
