You mean these?
I think your answer is no, (not worth the money) The word "style" gives you a bit of a clue there not originals. Get a second hand pair of originals they'd be less expensive and probably better smile

yea thats them pond man... cheers.
i cant be without a car so i need some cheap that i can refurb myself but these are brand new and have a 10 yr garantee. but i trust you lot so will carry on looking for some. i cant justify spending £200 on a pair of 14 yr old calipers that dont work though

How cheap is cheap mate? I have a silver set that I took off my previous 20vt. They worked fine when the car was in use but it was stood for a couple of years before I removed them & as such, don't know if they will need a refurb. If you are going to refurb some anyway... make me an offer?

That's not the fault of the brake's, it's your disc and pad combo. Yes a re-firb of your existing would possibly help, but a dab of £2.99 Ceratec pad grease could be all you need! Now that's cheap wink strip down existing pads, de-grease/clean the backs, then add a circular blob of grease where the piston meets the pad. It sorted mine out for 6 months, they've only just started to squeak slightly now, they used to be "hide behind the wheel" embarrassing tongue give it a go first, you never know smile

see i know my shims need replacing, and a few seals, i put loads of copper grease over the bk of the pads. still squealed instantly, i will be having new discs and pads ( again ) so with the calipers being refurbed, they'll have new excuse to squeal....... i hope.

not necessarily, shims are an optional extra

Copper grease does nothing for squeaks & squeals, Ceratec is the only foolproof grease for stopping squeals

What combo have you opted for?

Not if you follow the advice of thousands of others who have had the same issues before smile

oh shims are optional?? because mine corroded behind them.

i thought copper grease was the good stuff lol ( oops ) will get some ceratec soon and try that.

The discs i got are those mintex which im not impressed with, breaking for anything faster than 20mph they feel warped, so much feed bk through the wheel and brake pedal and the pads were the ones from fiat themselves. i might be reading more in to this issue later.

As for the advice, its always needed lol. as you can tell.

It sounds like the discs aren't seated correctly.
