Not sure if this is a styling, handling or general maintenance "mod" so aologies in advance...

My question. What are the issues in removing the passenger seat?

I assume the passenger airbag sensor is going to complain, but will it do nothing else other than put a warning light on the dash?

It's just 4 bolts and a lead from what I can see?

There is no passenger airbag sensor unless yours is a 20vt 6 speed with airbag seats?

Hmm... I thought I saw a cable dangling underneath. Is that a bodyweight sensor then?

No lead, just 4 bolts. Unless your car maybe has a seatbelt warning light for the passenger seat (?!?) or heated seats?

the only seat that has a cable is the drivers seat and that's for the seatbelt warning light
passenger has no sensors
unless its an airbag seat... which im assuming its not.

Yeah I checked earlier. What I thought was a cable was just a bit of fabric dangling down. Good old coops. laugh

Turns out I don't have the right allen key for it though. Standard hex one and a torqx by the looks of it...

A 6mm Allen key should do it. (It did in my 16VT)

Recently removed and replaced my driver's seat without any problems.

Undo and remove the front bolts first, slide the seat forward on its rails and then remove the rears.

Its real easy to remove, mine comes out quite often to make the coupe more "Practical" e.g.: you can fit a full Norco A-Line downhill bike in there by removing the passenger seat.
Fitting it back in can be a little fiddly though.

I removed the rear allen bolts first and now the seat will not move back far enough for me to get at the fronts. w
Is this the wrong procedure or is the seat "just sticking" and needs more lube and/or jigging about. .....Or is there something more I should know?
Cheers

There isn't a huge amount of space to remove the fronts - even when that are all the way back its tight against the seats. Put the rear ones back in and have a check again that the seat is going back all the way - i.e. sit on it and push with your legs.
