Hello my name is Ben and I've just bought my first ever Fiat! As someone who has mainly owned MG Rovers this is a big change for me!!

My car is an R reg 20v N/A in Speed Red I've known about the car for almost 2 years as it was owned by a friend of mine in Washington, Tyne and Wear.

It's RHD and UK spec but was first registered in Germany as the original owner was in the Army out there for the first year or so before returning to the UK and registering the car in Glasgow. It was then sold to a lady in Darlington in 1999 for £15k and she owned it for 12 years until selling it to my friend 20 months ago.

Under it's last two owners it appears to have been used more as a holiday car. My friend took it to Geneva and Paris to cover the Auto Salons as he is a contributor to AROnline and Car Mechanics magazine.

This is my 2nd coupe car as I have previously owned a Rover Coupè but the Fiat certainly feels to be in a different league!

Hi, welcome - Sorry to hear you had an innings with Rover, Just kidding, I had a Rover Coupe Turbo many years ago, Lovely car that was, Never broke down, Did struggle to stop though - dreadful brakes!

The 20v N/A is a very good alternative, Reliable and less worries than the Turbo version,

Yeah the standard brakes on the Rover always felt a bit unresponsive, especially coming up from a Metro GTa!

Family have owned little Fiats before; Cinquecento followed by a MK1 Punto and a Panda but this is a world away.

Currently on a smartphone but will upload a couple of pics when home!
