Believe it or not, not everyone loves the Coupe...particularly my other half!

I let her have the treat of driving it home the 3 miles from our local last night and the list of gripes was long, this is from someone who I was more than aware does not and never has liked them anyway, but even I was shocked. In no particular order...

Pedals off set at a 'funny angle'
Drivers seat is too low and hurts her hip (?!)
Turning circle of a small battle ship
Radio reception rubbish
Steering wheel too big
Brakes not to her liking.. The list goes on... She did though rate the headlights, I didnt have the heart to tell her they werent standard and were upgraded from the cars originals!

Just goes to show they are Marmite cars to alot of people.

I'd file for divorce, the relationship clearly has no future.....

Think she may have mumbled she liked the colour...

At least you know she won't be asking to take it out again, so you've got it all to yourself

My better half disliked driving the coupés as well. She didn't like the power delevery and the heavy brakes

My wife doesn't like mine either, I agree with her that it is uncomfortable on crap roads. It is also rubbish in the local multi-storey car parks.

It has not stopped me keeping it for almost 9 years so far.

My wife loves the coupe and has claimed it as her own.

At least until it needs money spending of course

Mine actually loved driving the Coupe... right up to the point where coil overs, bucket seats and harnesses happened.

Should have fitted them years ago

Ahh that is very true, the 3 coupes I have owned have had shocking radio reception, DAB is defo on the Xmas list

My wife enjoyed being a passenger in mine but found it a bit too heavy to drive. The turning circle was her major gripe.

I just bought a DAB radio from Halfords,,£99.99 Sony brilliant reception totally recommend it mate!
Also you can choose the colour of display to match the cars interior/instruments,,,great buy

Do you get reception all over? I use a dab at work and in some areas it's just pants.. maybe it's because i'm by the coast..

Radio reception maybe pants, thats why its got five cylinders.....

Agreed but mine's a big improvement after having it bent downwards (which did require removing the stopper)




Try resetting the aerial amp behind the n/s/r panel above the window - tighten up the contacts.

I've never met anyone who likes the Coupe (apart from us crazy people and also my dad, who hasn't an excellent taste in cars). That's one of the many reasons I love it so much. Dare to be different! Nothing to prove when driving around either... it's 'just an old Fiat' after all

When the train driver tv ad came out I loved it but at the same time didn't want the secret to be let out!

I have a JVC DB-52 in two of my Coupes. Reception down here in Kent is brilliant just using the supplied internal aerial on the windscreen, and I had no signal issues driving up to Leicester. Maybe the story would be different at the extremities of the island.....

It doesn't work well on Skye - in fact, not well once you're north of Glasgow/Edinburgh apart from some working near the towns like Fort William and Inverness. FM's the same though, so once you're past the M8 you're onto the CD player...

So far no issues re reception at all mate! Lovn Abs classic rock !! Hell Yeh!!!
