Finally i feel like a real coupe owner, got in her this afternoon and....... frozen handbrake! Always wondered why this was such an issue, mine had been parked outside in all weather for nearly three years, covered in snow, ice, rained on etc and never a problem. Since the summer the coupe has been tucked up in a garage and taken out at weekends and now it's chosen to freeze! I'm guessing the rubber seals have perished and only now letting in water. New cables + grease for christmas then
