Just a quick shout for Greenlight who i reinsured with today - having come from Elephant I can't believe how 'mod-friendly' they are and that I actually enjoyed calling them to go over a few fine points - FINALLY i've found an insurance company who know the car they're talking about and actually want to insure it for a sum that doesn't make everyone i tell go 'you paid what?!?!!??!'

Not all comment on here has been good.
Having sold my Coupe earlier this month I am finding it very difficult to get Proof of No Claims - I would have continued with them but they don't insure standard cars.
Now when I get my next performance car I will have to think twice before using them again.
Also, whatever you do, don't try and cancel your policy early - it will cost you alot of money.

Just to let you know it can take up to 14 days to recieve the NCB from insurers. If you cancelled your policy earlier this month it will probably still be within this 14 day period.
We are a Broker so its not issued in house. We have to wait for the insurer to send one.
We can send a letter on our headed paper to confirm your policy number and how many years NCB you have but a number of insurer do not accept NCB proof from the Broker.
If you PM me your name and address i'll look at your record and see whats happening.
Best Regards Neil Greenlight

just gone to adrian flux (who are using equity star, had issues with these guys too before) as they were 200 quid cheaper than Greenlight and gave me unlimited modifications cover and like for like, although they will not do the guaranteed payout like Greenlight

Different strokes for different folks isn't it - AF were nowhere near competitive for me - ive insured with them before though - found them to be pretty good to deal with but again not satisfied with Highway. I've been insured with: Swinton (fiesta) - no problems (cant rememebr actual insurer) Direct Line (saxo-pre barry links...)- no problems but expensive CIS (modified zetec-s)- Very good broker Adrian Flux (modified zetec-s and modded mgf)- good broker Elephant (modded mgf and coupe) - cheap but load heavily for mods (if they'll cover them!) Greenlight (coupe) - cheap and by far the most knowledgable broker ive used (and so mod friendly!!!)

Cancelled my greenlight policy a few weeks before it ran out as had sold the car. Always found them good to deal with and got proof of NCB no problem but got no money back for final few weeks even though it was not my first year with them Am familiar with non pro-rata refunds during your first year with a new insurer but have usually had pro-rata refunds after that.

There is a £25 admin charge on policy cancellation so the pro-ratta refund for the remaining two weeks may of been needed to cover the £25 admin charge.
If you PM me your vehicle reg I can check it for you and confirm the figure by return. We are an FSA regulated broker so have to make clear notes regarding the client refund process.
Best Regards Neil Greenlight Insurance
