Just thought I'd give a little feedback on the PU rear subframe bushes from Ferrarist in Bulgaria
The stock bushes on my 60,000 mile Moonie Plus were in worse condition than the ones on my 246,000 mile Sprinty - they were clearly perished and I was fairly certain I could feel vagueness in the back end, especially when pitching it into a bend.
While the car was off the road for the new cylinder head, I asked Paul to fit the PU bushes - WARNING - Paul's 10-tonne press wasn't man enough to fit the bushes - he had to use the pipe bending machine they use to form exhausts!
However, the end result is impressive. Road noise is up very slightly, but its hardly noticeable. Rear end control feels noticeably better - no vagueness, it just follows the front (which is how I like my cars set up - I only like the rear end to go light if I want it to go light)
Interestingly, ever since I bought the car, I've had a loud creaking coming from the nearside C-Pillar area - it does it with the C-pillar cover and seats removed, so it must be something in the structure of the car. The creaking has now stopped, which I'm surprised about - I thought it would increase.
So - for the amount of money Ferrarist charges for these bushes, they are a no-brainer. Cheaper than good secondhand standard items and just as good performance (and less noise) than the solid aluminium bushes.
Just make sure you have access to a beefy press....

If there's enough people interested, I can look into a group buy on supply and fit what was the purchase price?

Did the Vibra-Technics mounts ever come to fruition? No - I spoke with them a few months ago Price on the PU bushes was about £65 for the set - absolute bargain I'll have to speak with Paul to see what we would want to charge for fitting

While the car was off the road for the new cylinder head, I asked Paul to fit the PU bushes - WARNING - Paul's 10-tonne press wasn't man enough to fit the bushes
Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure Paul will fit it faster next time, we do these with 2 ton press with no hassle, just as pictured below, a hollow pipe must be put under the frame and bush - must be greased excessively prior fitting. We can do these bushes to fit with less pain, but i rather prefer your mechanic's damn on us, than your aftwerwards......hard fit like this means prolonged life...... Our postal service bless us with new prices for 2013, and i won't be able to offer price for a set less than £60, no matter if just 1 set ordered or 10.....and grease is not included, just because my goal is to sell it as cheap as possible, and these bushes(for rear subframe) can be greased with any sticky lube you can find - marine, copper or else.....but when fitted you must use a lot of it between all moveable parts...... So IMO there is no need for a GBuy, if you need it - just drop me a PM...... Sorry, but i can't sell front wishbone bushes out of my country, just because there is 2 different sizes of front&rear bush wishbone pin, and 2 different sizes of rear bush outer metal shell..... It's worth take a look my fitting topic here - Fitting rear Subframe Bushes and get your mechanic familiar with it - it will help a lot.

Great, hope he will receive it in time for you. Maybe it's good idea if you show him this extra tips for fitting, i know that some mechanics and garages don't like customer advices about how to do it's job, but only smartest ones knows that there is always room for improvement.... Mention that just because if PU is pushed more that it can handle or even hammered, can be damaged.

Can we do some measurements before so you send the right set for the front wishbones? It's too much to go wrong, you can measure outer shell size only when burn out the rubber bush - it means that if you don't have spare wishbone you must wait at least a week to receive it. And if we misunderstand your order and size its too complicate to resolve the situation. That's why i can't risk selling wishbone bushes outside my country.....Sorry......

Can we do some measurements before so you send the right set for the front wishbones? Because I was asked few times on PM’s about supplying front wishbone bushes with Nigel’s group buy, but because different sizes of non OE wishbone bushes(pin and outer bush’s shell) and the unusual way we manufacture these, first I want to show you how we did it, and explain few differences in bushes. Most PU bushes manufacturers use hardness of 80 Shore for 80% of it’s bushes. Next is 85 Shore. We make front bush bit harder than rear. More often rear bush must have little bit of ‘play” and the front must be stiffer. Difference in our front bush is the metal sleeve. Powerflex for example did not ‘connect’ the washer with the metal pipe(inserted onto wishbone pin) that way, both are pressed into each other. Well it may looks good enough, but we decide to put additionally 4 tig-welded drops as you may see. I can’t deny that it looks ugly, but if you do not participate in any “best-looking-suspension” competition, you might be 100% sure that the washer would stay connected with the pipe all the way. Difference in the rear wishbone bush – well……there is no ‘washer-pipe’ thing as with front bush…….the polyurethane bush is inserted directly onto the wishbone. I realize that it may sounds ridiculous to some, but it works perfectly….. First it’s cheaper…….and what about safety…..wishbone pictured(today) was mounted on my Coupe almost 2 years ago, my trackday Alfa 156 and another 145 JTD used it in at least 10 different trackdays…….we started to produce rear bush for all Alfa 156’s same way because they share almost same bush and it works same way……..tested with almost 25 cars for an year before we began to produce it for customers, in our great ‘off-road’ Bulgarian motorways and single ‘race’ track – no even single issue…… Many cars uses PU bushes same way, if you look to BMW E30,36,46 front wishbone’s rear bush – it fits directly onto the wishbone same way…….Peugeot and Citroen’s front wishbones rear bush also is mounted like this on few models. OE front bush pin is 21mm, rear – 21mm. There is 1 difference in front, and 2 in rear, but I guess that’s rare fakes, that can be found in eastern EU than western. So if you’re 100% percent sure your wishbone is OE and you like how we manufacture it, there is no problem to have a set(for one car – 2 front and 2 rear) for 65gbp with postage included to UK or EU……. Nigel already posted Group Buy pool for rear subframe bushes, if someone want to combine both and more than 2 sets is ordered, price will be 63gbp for set of 4 wishbone bushes. I don’t have a clue if I breach the forum rules with posting like this, if yes, moderators can remove it. Thanks. P.S - you may ask any question about.
