I've just been looking at my dyno printout (done by the previous owner), and noticed the temperature was 26 deg. Would this high ambient have any bearing on the result? Is it likely that the car would have generated more power at lower temps?

Yes the car would make more power the cooler the temps.

Hence why Nigel always gets his car mapped in December .

This is why we use inercoolers and water sprays to try and get it as low as possible.
Ambient temp usually means the intake is around 15 degrees higher on an efficient cooler.
But not many do that.
Be suprised if your charge temps were much below 50 degrees on the day.

Usually because I break something in late summer, followed by a 2-month rebuild.....

I thought as much. I looked up the date of the dyno and it turns out is was one of the hottest days for years! The car has a standard plus bumper which probably restricts air flow through the intercooler more than most.

Yes, very happy. I do enjoy the insanity of having a 13 year old Fiat with over 400 bhp! Needs a bit of cosmetic tidying, but it'll be satisfying getting that done.

That's good.
Supercar performance for skoda money.

From the power graph and from what I have been told there's almost no lag.
Perfect power for a 2.0 without compromising everyday driving.
