Usually in this weather you can't open your car doors. Well mine opened fine this morning but would not ruddy shut crazy

Had to fiddle with the latch to get them to shut.

It happened to me on my coupe last time I had to move it in below freezing temperatures.

It's moisture around the mechanism freezing and stopping things moving.

Give it a good squirt of lubricant around the handle mechanism to displace the moisture and prevent future occurences.

I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

Yeah cheers petep. I blasted them with 3 in1.

I have never experienced this before with any other car. Or have ever been told until I get a coop, then my brother said "yeah, happens all the time".

The quirks of a coop.

Not just the coop!

Years ago I had to drive 25 miles to work in the snow with a rope tied between the armrests of the front doors to hold the drivers door closed as the mechanism had frozen open.

It was in a new car at the time too!

I use sillicone lubricant In the locks & mechanisms etc - it's less messy & leaves less residue than WD40 / 3in1 & I find it very effective
