I haven't fitted one. But haven't seen that many positive stories about it, only negative.

I recon you will be better of with a OEM Valeo clutch.

Now Will, that's better than an ebay shitter clutch - i believe a gta will hold up to 300bhp and torque - is that right Joe?

Good clutches for cars not too modified i believe

My GTA clutch handled 310 bhp and 312ftlb
There a good clutch for that!
Above that... Time for some thing else!!

my standard clutch handled 300bhp for almost two years - so, if you're close to standard, I'd go for Valeo every time, although if you have plans to up the power anytime soon, the GTA would be a worthy upgrade (assuming you don't want to go much past 330 - 350 bhp)

Clutches handle torque, not bhp.

Was there not a thread a while back.that suggested the Alfa clutch was no better than a good quality standard?

Right you are

Test showed it holds less than the stock clutch so its common knowledge these days but still a favoured replacement for some reason.

So a decent standard clutch should do then?my coupe is not far from standard, I will be using it for track days and my summer toy, not my daily drive any more (lack of mpg)

Thanks
Will

Yeah it will be fine.
They coupe with 300bhp fine and I ran mine on several 1/4 mile and track days back in the day running 315bhp on a stock clutch.
Pull clutches like the ones fitted to the 20vt are a very strong clutch hence why so many vans use them.
Not so much the clutch that you need to worry about more so the pressure plate.

so, is a standard Alfa GTA clutch kit compatible / straight swap to a 20V Turbo coupe?
