The only time a low oil level will cause low pressure is when its below the level of the pick up pipe. At this point the oil pressure will be zero. Its either all or nothing.

Yep but low oil drives pressure down, if at cold its reading 2 bar then I would think it was very empty......

Well, he's bought it now regardless (reading between the lines lol), so it doesn't really matter.

Just enjoy it Russ and I hope it lasts you a long time smile

Obviously, check your oil, often laugh

At the end of the day im happy for what i got it for and if the engine does give up then it gives me a excuse to rebuild better and stronger smile

Looks like a good car in the pics, would of probably bought it myself if i'd managed to get down there too have a look

Going through the service history of the last coupe I had there was a invoice for an investigation into a low oil pressure problem - the solution was 3 litres of oil! That was when the car was 4 years old so wouldnt worry to much about the engine aslong as it runs and sounds ok, they can take alot of abuse

When I spoke to the seller he seemed pretty straight with me, said it was solid underneath and I could check it out under a ramp, if it's rust free your onto a winner (they can rust badly)

I agreed with how it looks, it does look nice.

Enjoy your green machine!!

As i said on page 1 its near mint inside and outside, even the bonnet is stone chip free.
Ok so it might have had a re-spray but there's no sighs of this at all.
The chap was spot on and i went to his home address, even met his mum lol a real genuine bloke.
Im happy with the motor, just have to give her a service for peace of mind then start to mod ,o and maybe consider selling the 18"s as that size and a 35 profile tyre dont go to well with raised drain covers and pot holes lol.

Car looks nice Russ, like the spoiler to cool thinking of getting one for mine.
I would change the peddles to the black spotted ones and order yourself a set of brembo caliper stickers as the ones on it are the wrong way round. smile
