You cant add additional memory to the nexus 7 Jim, although with the adapter you can mount external drives I believe.

Oh, I must have confused it with the kids' Galaxy Tabs - not as high-specced as the Nexus, but excellent nonetheless for £128. And they have a rear-facing camera and a memory card slot...!

One of the biggest drawbacks of the iPad but sdomehow fullay acceptable to the legions of Apple fans..one of whom will be along shortly to explain the advantages of limited and restricted memory, probably extolling the virtues of "the cloud", where someone else holds your information...of course it'll be safe as no-one has ever thought to abuse the internet Hence my choice of the Galaxy Note. Which may be a cut-price-bit-of-crip-built-down-to-a-price-iPad-wanabee (as I'll no doubt be advised , but I can store as much as I want to on memory cards. And because it was cut price, was significantly cheaper..

I bought a Nexus 7 in December, the 32GB one was £180 in Carphone Warehouse and then I got the 32GB 3G version from Argos for £216 (I have a 10% discount card). Initially I was happy with both but I just bought an iPad Mini and prefer the bit of extra screen space, (it's wider), the Nexus is taller. One word of caution, be careful using multiple users feature in Jellybean 4.2 as it significantly slows the Nexus down, (thats why I bought a second device as sharing it with my wife). Even though no non play store apps were installed there seem to be lots of "system instabilities, mainly with the clock and the launcher".... There are nowhere near enough Tablet apps on Google Play in comparison to the iPad. I like the cards feature though. And why they don't ship it with a notes app is a total mystery to me. Great for watching films on though. But it is slightly more pocketable. And at that price is a real bargain. If you have never owned an iPad you will be happy, but if you have, it will slowly become frustrating to use. The lack of good quality apps is apparent, But thats just my opinion. Nexus 4 will be back in stock shortly, keep an eye on this site https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_4_16gb
