Can anybody recommend a good off the shelf exhaust set-up or a reputable custom exhaust place around bedfordshire? Im ideally looking for a quiet-ish exhaust, that would be comfortable to use as an everyday car, without any booming. On the standard exhaust with sport cat my car made 280bhp, so would 2.5" be enough to allow my car to breathe a bit easier without any restriction, or is it worth going either 2.75 or 3"?

Cybox are good quality and reasonably priced.

I too have read great things about the Cybox. It's a stainless steel replacement without being boomy. You can catbacks on ebay straight from Cybox for £195 + £15 delivery.

Is the cybox 2.25 or 2.5"?

How does it compare to a longlife exhaust or blueflame?

I'm fairly sure it's 2.25" but can't be sure. Send them an email.

Can't compare as have had neither fitted, all I know is when my current back box falls off ill be replacing it with a cybox. Several on here have them fitted so a search should bring up opinions on the quality.

If you are running the standard cat back it is more restrictive than the even a 2.15" stainless example as it has two silencers and more bends.

I've got a LE - and the chrome pipe fell off my std exhaust; so need a new back box; just been quoted £420 at Halfords for std replacement...does the Cybox £195 on ebay directly replace this std backbox then? Assume my local garage could fit if I ordered direct?

It's a simple job to fit. There is a clamp with 2 bolts and 3 exhaust hangers on the standard back box to unclip. The Cybox may come with attachments for 2 exhaust hangers as it should go via a shorter route.

So maybe 30 mins for any competent garage to fit it.

Which tailpipe choice for LE? Cybox on ebay don't accept messages...they seem to have 3 choices? Do they just have different levels of loudness?

My guess would be that they are all the same back box, with just the tip being different.
