Morning all,

Just require a bit of assistance on excel from one of the many guru's on here thumb

I have this table below as an example;

F21 E90 E60
Touring pack £28.00 £38.00 £48.00
Sports pack £280.00 £380.00 £480.00
Comms Pack £2,800.00 £3,800.00 £4,800.00

In a different cell I have data validation for F21, E90 and E60.

In a cell I need to select either F21, E90 or E60, then either Touring, sports or comms. The formula I need would be something like - if (cell) = F20 and (cell) = Touring pack then total is £28.00

Basically drop down box for F or E number, another for pack and the total then put into the cell from the chart above.

Hope this makes sense thumb

You can use a "Combo Box" to create a drop down list to choose the options, it's on the Developer tab (Excel 2007) under Insert

The list of pack names in column can be linked to a "package" combo box, but for the combo box to work the options need to be arranged in columns. So you need to put the vehicle types (F21, E90, E90) in a nother column.

The combo box then puts a value in another cell which tells you which number on the list your selection is and you can then use the combo boxes to provide the column and row numbers as input to an INDEX function to give the price.

I can e-mail you a file if you PM me your email address.
