Did anyone receive any posh chocs this morning?
I find it all very confusing, rabbits, chocolate eggs and a man on a cross, I'm sure there's a connection but I'm struggling to find it?

It's this time of year because of Passover. Which is historically when we know the crucifixion took place. Eggs symbolise new life. Chocolate and rabbits are for retailers wanting people to not think about an empty tomb but to empty their wallets
Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing? (John 7:51)

Very interesting article. I would have thought the Germanic comparison - their word Ostern - most plausible, east being where the sun rises and the geographic origin of the biblical event. A more friendly Westernised name to boot. You're all over thinking it... In reality, Mrs Jimbob rabbits on for a chocolate egg and if i fail to provide one... Well, that's where the man on a cross comes in. That might well be resurrected year after year Jim
