Hi chaps,
I'm after a 280mm long section of loom to extend my inlet air temp sensor wiring with male and female ends like this-

Anyone know anyone who can do this?
Cheers,
Guy

Hi. I don't usually make looms as part of my business but I am an electronics engineer by trade so I could make up that loom for you no problem. Send me PM if you're interested.

easily done yourself, with a soldering iron, some heat shrink and some cable.

Cut the cable about 10cm from the plug, strip about 15mm off the inner. Do the same with the new extension bit of cable leaving enough space to slide thin heat shrink up out of the way of what will become you solder joint. On the original loom add a long heat shrink section which will cover the entire new section. Solder the inner cables, then cover the inners with the thinner shrink. Then cover the entire section with the outer shrink heating the ends. This is the most economical way to do what you want.

Or you could just buy a 2 way male and female junior time connector with crimps and boots make the extension lead.

Like Richard said cover the entire wires with heat shrink

Thanks for the ideas guys,
I think i may have found a solution though, my main concern was tracking down the connectors and then i remembered this place-

http://polevolt.co.uk/acatalog/Timer_Connectors.html

So i'll make it up myself after all. Its a pretty good website this one, got loads of bits and bobs.

Yeah i was going to do it that way but didn't want to modify the loom too much as i might need it back to standard for another car one day.

Great link. I've been wanting to replace the rubber boots on my loom as they are all perrished away.
