Been considering selling my electric blue plus, I’ll be sorry to see it go but really have played with the idea of selling for a while. Having owned it for over 6 years (I think!) in the past i used to use it a fair bit at first and then more frequent as my job changed and used to work in Leeds, Manchester, London and Wales I could justify keeping it, couple of times returning over 500 miles from a tank :D, they really are good on fuel if taking it easy.

Since buying I now do not have time to enjoy the car except admire it as leave and return from work . Having a 3 year old boy and 5 month old girl it now doesn’t get used as we always jump in our Golf TDi. I am also currently in the process of finishing a new build in my garden so any spare time is focused on the house or family.

I am aiming to post an advert on the forum this weekend, it’s covered around a 1,000 miles last year between mot’s and only 500 this year, so cannot justify keeping the coupe or putting up with my wife moaning about the ornament I own ! Having recently seen a few plus’s sell and the prices varying, what do people think is good asking price? based on a few details below, dates estimated until I get to look through all the paperwork, this really is a really clean plus.

We’re going to go to a 1 car family and have 320d m sport diesel estate lined up. Anyone have any other suggestions for a family car that they would recommend?

I'd say it's worth around 2k, depending on condition. If the clutch hasn't been changed, it can't be far off needing to be.

I'd have thought nearer £3k - £3.5k given that prices appear to have increased marginally lately

My thought was around £2k depending on condition, perhaps a bit more if excellent with good history.

Shame if you cannot justify keeping it...

They're hard to price as there are so few, legacy blue plus if in good order should make more than 2k. There is still alot of pessimism on prices on here but if you're willing to wait I would have thought you could make the 3.5k mark, that is if it's mechanically and bodily in good order.
