I think I may have been swayed by the s4. Trouble is I think it's a case of "new and shiney", I don't need it. However my phone has gotten laggy as it's no longer supported, and the deal looked reasonable. £36 pm for 500 minutes, 5000 texts, unlimited data, a Bluetooth speaker, and no upfront cost on the phone, all supplied by the 3 network.
Talk me out of it. Provide feedback on 3/ galaxy s4. Alternatives?
My current deal is roughly the same, except for 500mb data limit.

Jon13, thank you. I'll look into those tariffs. Jim, a valiant effort. Unfortunately I'm a reasonably big guy with quite large hands so a large screen is a must. That and I like trigger happy tv . But seriously I had thought that. Not sure which pocket it'd fit in either.

I'm with Jim of the Clennell variety. When I first got one of these mobile thingies I went smaller and smaller every upgrade until I ended up with a Samsung A800. From then every phone I upgraded to has got bigger rather than smaller until last year. This time last year I looked at the various flagship options (at that time S3 or OneX) and just went smaller (and cheaper) instead.

Similar deal here on T mobile which works out cheaper. £26 a month + £99 upfront for the handset 500 mins Unlimited data (no data cap) Unlimited texts http://www.affordablemobiles.co.uk/contr...mp;siteid=20363I've had a galaxy S3 on three for a while now. It's a great phone but the touch sensitive back button is annoying. The S4 has the same arrangement. I'm forever touching it by mistake. Other than that it's been great and three has been fantastic in my area. I get between 12-18meg speeds on 3G. I could never go on a tariff which didn't include unlimited data now. I use the sky go and sopcast apps on my S3 to watch football which is around 700mb of data per match. I'm tempted to get an S4 but it's very similar to the S3 and I'm undecided if it's worth it.

I looked at both the S3 and HTC One X when launched, and although I knew the S3 was the technically better phone, I went with the One X. The look of the S3 does nothing for me. As Coupe owners, we know a little about style I think I'm now in the same predicament over the S4 and the HTC One.
