I'm still trying to get to the bottom of my weird-feeling T1-Rs - having had a long chat with Toyo, we feel that it might not be the tyres (or at least not JUST the tyres)

So - I need to try to eliminate some of the possible causes, so:-

Q1 - does anyone (preferably Midlands-based) have a set of premium tyres on wheels that they would be prepared to let me try out for a (very) short time - I would only need 5 - 10 miles to know whether they have solved the problem. I'd prefer four tyres of the same make if possible. I'd also prefer 17", but I'd be happy with stock 16" wheels and either 205/50 or 225/40 tyres

Q2 - one of my options is to change profile - does anyone run 215/45 17? If so, do the tyres rub the arches at all?

Thanks in advance

Answer to your Q2, Nigel. I used to run 215/45/17 on a 7J ET24 wheels and on a lowered coupe (Eibach & Bilstein) they did rub the arches (front & rear). Whereas the same tyre size on the same wheels but ET40, and standard height, no problems with rubbing at all.
