Well, after struggling to get this 3" downpipe (purchased on here in good faith) to fit for the best part of a day on Saturday I finally gave up. Only one way it would go on and that's without the oil pipes in situ! Car don't likey having no oil cooler pipes!
I was told it would fit with slight "manipulation" of the oil pipes. Didn't matter what you did with the oil pipes (except maybe lengthening them), that sucker wasn't going on.

What a joke. How can people be allowed to sell items on here that blatantly don't fit the car!

After talking to certain people I found out it's not a 1 off. Why hasn't this been picked up on and people been made aware.

I am relatively new to this forum
I'm not naming names and I don't want to fall out with people on here, just venting!

On a good note I have taken the blasted thing to a local exhaust spot to fettle it.
Booked in tomorrow.

Rant over. As you were people.

Firstly, have you contacted the seller and explained your position? If so and you still feel hard done by, have you reported the individual who sold it to you to site admin? I would also suggest that "slight manipulation of the oil cooler pipes" is open to interpretation so they might feel your anger towards them is unjust.

On the whole though, yeah, that's annoying especially as I bet you were looking forward to fitting it and getting it out of the way.

No. Not contacted the seller. As I say I don't wish to fall out with anyone about this and I don't wish to take it further. Just venting my frustration. It actually touches the alternator when fitted. Lots of manipulation was taking place on Saturday. Anymore would have caused damage to the oil pipes.

As I said I will hopefully have it fitted tomorrow with some slight modifications to the downpipe.

Yeah I get it.

Slight = chop the censored thing up and get it to fit. Says the big rasta man.

I have learnt from my mistakes and will do plenty of research before purchasing anything else.

Looks more like it's cutting wheel, hammer and a mass of welding!
Nice neat job though and it looks sweet on the stainless manifold!

Cheers AP1

Large hammer with the biggest bloke I know on the other end of it. Who got so pi**ed off with it that at one point he actually roared.

It's not quite 100% sorted. It's now rubbing and vibrating on the guard across the sump. He did tell me about it but didn't want to do it himself because he already felt sorry for me and the bil was going up and up. Just need some spacers to hold it off enough.

Another little job to do.
