Finallly bought 20vt it has boy racer boot spoiler which has got to go. Could get replacement boot from do;;nor car but have heard each is hand built so may not fit properly. Is this right?

Not sure about hand built. Manual finishing I think is probably more accurate.

Buy a boot lid. You'll spend plenty of time adjusting it to fit nicely, but you would on any car.

Ah, but ever since the Strada, haven't all Fiats been hand built by robots ?

Another option would be to take it to a bodyshop, take the spolier off and get them to fill the holes and repaint the existing boot ?

Crikey, I had forgotten that advert......I bought a new Strada on the strength of that advert...things were much simpler back then....and was really pleased with it apart from the massively heavy steering at low speed (no PAS) and the rust that appeared everywhere within two years...oh and the colour which seemed good when I bought it, Sh*t metallic brown....very early eighties, but it did disguise the rust pretty well...
ooo

I've just replaced my boot lid with another one and while not an absolutely perfect match (one side runs out by a few mm on the top of the vertical panel) the original one wasn't much better.

You can make slight adjustments at both sides so you should be able to get it looking reasonably good at least.

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.
