So. After 12 months of sulking I told (asked) my girlfriend I was going to get another coupe next year. Surprisingly the conversation went quite well, as I think she has realised how much of a child I actually am and how I will never be happy unless I have a car I enjoy.

So my question is - what are the chances of Spa 2014 happening and what is this about a trip to Turin next year for an anniversary?

Getting another coupe will probably depend quite heavily on whether one of these 2 things happen!

Nick, The new organisers of SpaItalia told me that they intend to arrange it in 2014, we can only wait and see for the moment.

One of the Italian clubs is organising a 20th anniversary of the coupe trip to Turin.

They don't expect to be able to release full details until towards the end of 2013. As soon as we have them we will let everybody know.

At the moment I have been told that it will take place at the end of May.

The club intends to work with them to help UK owners and their coupes attend.

Haha, John, I talk a good talk, but I know my place! We recently bought a house so I have to play it very carefully when it comes to spending money on anything other than paint or carpet!!

Thanks for that Pete. I won’t be buying a coupe until early next year (unless my MX5 completely rusts away before its MOT!) so no rush for an update. I’m just hoping one of them happens to give me something to plan for!
