Here in Australia, there is an annual rally called the Italian Connection Trophy that caters almost exclusively (hopefully) for Italian makes.
It is a 3 day event involving navigating by route charts with questions to answer along the way which determine the winners.
The event started in 2008 and mostly used the B and C roads between Sydney and Melbourne, but is now based in Albury, where we do about 300-400km loops in different directions each day. It is great fun and the food, drink and company is always terrific.
My friend Ian has been trying to win this event since day 1 and I have only missed one year (2012). In 2011 I hit a kangaroo with my Coupe!
Anyway, this year we finally cracked it, teaming up in Ian's 20VT with me navigating, we became the first Fiat to win the event! Here's some photos...
