Hey guys,

I've got a pair of aluminium speaker rings and wondering what glue people have used to stick them on to the door cards?

Thanks in advance.

They slot over the speaker covers and you don't need to glue them on as they should be a tight fit , remove the speaker cover , fit rings , replace the covers , job done .

I've tried fitting them to the grill but they just keep popping out so was going to glue them in.

Mine were doing the same, so used a thin layer of glue to help hold them on.

Only one has come off over the past 6 or so years, so it works well smile

I had no household glue when I had to fix it back on, so I used some of my daughters false nails glue and it's held for about a year so far laugh

What glue did you use the first time?

Not sure, but it wouldn't have been anything special or expensive.

Probably Loctite or some cheap equivalent from the pound shop knowing me laugh

You could try a little bathroom sealant. It'll peel off easy when you want to remove them.

Okay thanks guys I'll give super glue a try first as I have got some laying around and if that doesn't work I'll try some sealant.

Try the sealant first if you have some. The superglue may melt the door card and won't be removable without causing damage.

Hi,

Tried all sorts of solutions. And the best one I found in the end was to remove the grille from the door card and bend the edges slightly outward ensuring a snug fit between the grille and the ring.

Easy, and no glue needed!

Have the same problem.
I paid £30 in a GB on here late last year, along with the clock & heater rings.
Decided to leave the speaker ones off as they would fall off anyway when you either openned or closed the door!!!

They should fit flush & tight without the aid of glue or such.

Mine have been on 6 years with no issues.
